As we approach the end of the year, I want to wish you a blessed New Year and express my deepest gratitude and appreciation for all your generous support throughout 2022.
Before the clock strikes midnight on Friday, many families will be left with a few clothes on their backs in the cold and dark places in the Middle East. Temperatures in many parts of the Middle East are rapidly dropping to below-freezing degrees and many families are still in need of basic supplies to make it through the winter.
Sadly, over the last three years, several children passed away, and for this not to be repeated again, we urgently need to raise funds for clothing, basic supplies, and gas used for stoves and warmth.
We’ve made an incredible progress to support them and send them the necessary aid they need this past year, and we’re gearing up to do even more in 2023.
Will you join us?
Your tax-deductible gift will help save children, women, men, and the elderly in need. Give now to help make 2023 a better year for those in need. All donations received before 12:00 midnight on Friday will count towards your 2022 tax-deductible contribution.
The joy of Christmas is just around the corner! And while most of us are looking forward to the world opening up to new beginnings this festive season with the likes of Eggnog, Christmas turkey and presents under the tree, there are still many unfortunate children that will be without the .Christmas essentials to share along with our joy.
Conflict in these countries has caused a lack of proper food distribution and entertainment, leading to kids lacking the right nutrition and happiness .that allows them to be children.
This Christmas, help us shower these kids with the spirit of giving by partnering with us in bringing joy and happiness to those vulnerable children who need it the most.
Our dear partners, ROS is happy to report that the container shipment to the Ukraine has arrived and distribution has started, which will be a huge blessing to those in need.
We also provided our weekly clinic service in Sigy, Iraq where 41 patients were given treatment.
We are excited to share that Yvette and Jacqueline Isaac spoke at the Global Prophetic Summit with Cindy Jacobs! Thousands of people were moved by their message and impacted by the work of ROS.
We want to send an extra thank you to everyone who sent funds that helped make the humanitarian trip possible.
Every time we receive a donation, we pray over it and ask for God’s blessing for that person and that He would provide all their needs according to His purpose for their lives. This is what we wish for all our partners.

Robert Thornton Testimony – Volunteer at Roads of Success
From a warrior for the Untied Stated Marine to a warrior for humanity
“Prior to coming here … instead of loading materials of good and help, we are loading materials of destruction such as tanks, weapons, guns … nothing but intend to kill.”
Robert Thornton
Robert Thornton, who used to serve in the United States Marine corps, turned to be a volunteer for ROS to save and transform lives. In the midst of the tragic toll of war, images of death and destruction as well as families’ annihilation, Thornton expressed solidarity to help put an end to the aggravated suffering and consequences of war in Iraq.
What a miracle to turn from being an agent of death to an agent of life and a messenger of God’s love to humankind. For that purpose, Thornton volunteered in packing 31 ballets of goods to be shipped to Iraq in order to help people better their lives as well as giving them a sense of hope and faith that there is something better than what they are experiencing in this moment in time. The battle contains wheelchairs, bikes, diapers, and shoes among hundreds of other things.
“Instead of taking life, we are actually giving life and extending it to those
in need. To me that’s toll of flipping of the coin. Instead of preparing
for destruction, we are trying to heal and make things better… we shouldn’t
be fighting, we should be loving each other, and care of each other”
The testimony of Thornton is an urgent message for today. The number of IDPs and refuges is in a staggering increase, and in desperate need for food, medicine and shelter. To be an agent of life in such dark moments is challenging, yet an honor. Remember that actions, physical presence, and words can bring positive difference in people’s lives.
Humanitarian Response to the Middle East:
As we celebrate our noble mission of helping people in war zone areas, we want to update you with our humanitarian operations in those areas:
Humanitarian Work in Northern Iraq
In Iraq, we strived to respond to the health care needs by establishing a medical clinic in the village of Sigy in Kurdistan, Northern Iraq. The final renovations and maintenance on the clinic were finished in the finest manner possible, in order to ensure the adequate delivery of health services. Additionally, free medical treatment and products were provided by family doctors and gynaecologists to the needy displaced persons, and refugees in this region. Our mission is in line with the advocacy of David McCoy of Queen Mary University, London, who encourages thinking beyond the humanitarian lens to the link between health and peace, stating that “the health community has the legitimacy and mandate to work more upstream” on the prevention of violence and conflict.
Humanitarian Work in Egypt
Driven from the vision that women education is central to boosting development, and breaking the cycle of poverty, it was urgent to provide quality education for women and girls in the deprived areas. Hence, we are thrilled to announce the completion of the English language course, provided by ROS team. Your support helped in offering English classes with an American teacher over Zoom to 14 students. We believe that such education leads to a fairer, better, more productive lives as well as a profound economic impact. Learning English is an invaluable skill, which will help them get a step up in the job market and provide them with more opportunities for financial stability.
In addition to the fact that educating women and girls is a human right, empowering women contributes to reducing poverty and inequality as well as strengthening democratic citizenship in the countries. Therefore, we have continued to help widows and others in need in order to gain financial freedom by offering them a free sewing training course. The skills they learn help them start profitable businesses, which allow them to provide financially for themselves and their children, and this week we were able to train another 10 women!
Humanitarian Work in Syria
In Syria, we would like to express our special gratitude to our local partners for their help in distributing new humanitarian aid containers which were sent from Hong Kong. Their outstanding support enabled us to put special attention to the management of supplies. They contributed in distributing blankets, school supplies, clothes and shoes to approximately 3,000 IDPs and refugees in the cities of Homs, Hama and Al-Karama camp. Distribution is still underway in Damascus and Al-Suwaida. May the Lord bless everyone who contributed in sending this container in order to draw smiles of joy and happiness on the faces of the needy families and children in this region.
Donations compete for storage and transport facilities that may be in short supply. Our motto is, “We connect the people who have needs with the people who have hearts” and we feel so blessed that you have opened your heart to our cause.
Our dear partners, thank you so much for your support. Today, We want to share with you the news of the humanitarian trip in Lebanon:
Over the last few days, we set up mobile clinics in the Kurdish Church and the Church of Rich Life in Bourj Hammoud where our medical team, accompanied by Dr. Yvette El-Bayadi, received more than 500 patients.
Most of our patients were mainly women and children.
Our medical team included an ophthalmologist, a gynaecologist, a psychiatrist,
a physiotherapist, and a general practitioner.
Free medications were distributed by our medical staff to all patients in need.
We also paid special service visits to 16 Syrian and Armenian refugee families.
The visits included spiritual services and the distribution of food rations for each family.
Sunday schools services were conducted for children and a special program for the clown uncle Kombush was included. We also distributed books and gifts to all children after providing them with some much -needed quality time of fun and happiness.
Please mention us in your prayers so that we can truly fulfil the purpose of this mission; according to the heart of God.
According to recent statistics, over 5 million Iraqis are internally displaced and most of the IDPs have originally fled from ISIS or from the military operations against ISIS. Therefore, the Iraq’s heath system is exhausted and not functioning anymore.
Moreover, the economic situation has dramatically deteriorated. Hospitals are understaffed due to the migration of many doctors outside the region; thus, the healthc enters are not functioning. In addition, many infrastructure were destroyed during the armed conflicts. Psychological health issues, also, are increasing because many IDPs and returnees are suffering from depression and anxiety, especially women who experiences sexual violence.
Our Response
Due to the continuous support and prayers received from you, we were able to provide free medical care at out clinic in Iraq. These medical services were offered to refugees and IDPs who can not afford treatment and the urgently needed care coverage. For example, our team supported a young lady in Mam Maram camp in Dohuk-Kurdistan in Northern Iraq who suffered from a serious condition which prevented her from breastfeeding her infant. This aid covered 3 months of baby-milk and living costs to the mother and child.
Additionally, we bring you the good news on a case of a 45-day-old infant who has been receiving treatment since he was 3 days old. In the words of the mother who visited the health center run by ROS, where the baby was diagnosed and is still being followed up with and given treatment by the clinic’s medical staff : “Thank God my baby’s health has been improving.”
We call for support to aid the humanitarian capacity in order to respond to the weapons of mass destruction. Your support is strongly encouraged to support the Iraqi’ healthcare system Donate Here!
Roads of Success continues to respond to the heartbreaking realities in Syria, the crumbling infrastructures, and the breakup of families. Despite the challenging circumstances, we sent new humanitarian aid containers from Hong Kong. These containers include blankets, school supplies, clothes and shoes to be distributed among 3,000 IDPs and refugees in the cities of Homs, Hama, and Al-Karama camp. Distribution is still underway in Damascus and in Al-Suwaida.
We are thriving to use every available avenue to reduce vulnerability and ensure protection to these communities in Syria. Also, we are planning for more interventions to address specific needs in education, vocational training, counseling, psychological support, and health.
May the Lord bless everyone who contributed in sending this container in order to draw smiles on the faces of the needy families and children in this region.
