In the Kurdistan region of northern Iraq, our recent medical mission brought much-needed care and support to the Sharia and Domiz refugee camps. Our dedicated team provided free medical examinations and essential medications to approximately 200 displaced and refugee individuals. This vital work is made possible through the generous support of our community, allowing us to continue assisting families in these camps.

A crucial part of our mission focuses on empowering young girls to pursue education and delay early marriage. One of our team members is actively engaging with these girls, teaching them the importance of staying in school and making informed life choices. In a first-of-its-kind initiative by Egyptians living in America, The “Virtuous Woman” Program, under the auspices of the General Council of Apostolic Churches in Egypt and the leadership of Pastor Nasser Katkout, hosts a celebration the day after tomorrow, Friday February, 2nd under the title “Let’s Dream” in support of the Egyptian State.
Yvette Ishak Al-Bayadi, the Program’s Presenter and Event Organizer, emphasized the importance of rallying behind Egypt and its leadership, particularly President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, during these critical times. Al-Bayadi stressed the national duty for all citizens, including expatriates, to stand firmly in support of the country’s endeavors.
Yvette Ishaq also stated that the conspiracies being hatched against the Egyptian State by evil forces, whether from within or without, leave no choice before us, as expat Egyptians living in America, but to play a positive role in supporting our country and encouraging all Egyptian citizens to stand in support of our country as it faces unique challenges during these testing times.
Especially in light of the economic situation and the global economic challenges, it is necessary to call on all segments of society to stand with our nation as a payback to the country where we were born and raised; a country whose arms are always open wide to us.
Journalist Armanios El-Minyawi, the event media advisor, said that the celebration deserves our attention as it originates from our citizens abroad, specifically expat Egyptians living in America, and it is an action that calls for our support because it brings us out of the nightmare of frustration and gives us new energy and hope. It is also a national gathering that demonstrates how expat Egyptians identify with us and even share our struggles. Such events also make us feel as citizens living in our beloved country, we must play a role in supporting our political leadership and accept the challenge to overcome all crises facing the Egyptian State. Al-Bayadi affirmed that many public figures, clergymen, and members from the House of Representatives will take part in the gathering, which will feature national, social, and spiritual statements. On the sidelines of the event, sport activities for both adults and children will be held.

Roads of Success is Ready to Bring Relief to the Syrian Refugees and Earthquake Survivors for the second time
In a quick response to the earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria, Roads of Success was able to send the humanitarian aid shown in the above video to our brother and sister in Syria, who were able to survive the deadly earthquake in Syria. This is just a start. We are working now on offering more assistance to those impacted people who are affected by that disaster. By supporting this cause you help us do more.
Our hearts have been burdened for these survivors, particularly the children, who have endured unimaginable pain and trauma. As the majority of relief work has gone to the Turkish population, the Syrian refugees have been left with little help.
ROS team distributed essential items, such as food and clothing, as well as toys and games to keep the children active in positive atmospheres. The supplies are bought locally in Turkey, within the affected communities so that we may distribute it ourselves.

ROS is working fast to meet the needs of hundreds of families and children who were affected by a catastrophic 7.8 magnitude earthquakes strike that hit many cities and towns in Turkey and northern Syria on February 6, 2023.
As soon as we learned of the disastrous earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, we started working on finding quick ways to support the victims in both countries. Although we are still determining the full scale of the destruction, we already worry that hundreds of people, including many women and children, have perished. There have also been numerous further injuries and destroyed dwellings. These people have nowhere to go, and the icy winter weather makes it even harder for them to survive.
Our team in Iraq is now preparing to travel to Turkey to provide aid, including food, blankets, mattresses and winter clothes to support those affected by the earthquake. Also, we have been on a continuous contact with our partner church in Aleppo, Syria, who was able to support 600 victims and working on supporting more victims. This is in addition to allocating a large part of our upcoming aid shipment to support our loved ones in Syria and Turkey. The shipment will leave this Thursday. Stay tuned for more updates.

In Syria, where the battle has lasted eleven years, hundreds of thousands of people are currently fighting to make ends meet due to economic hardship and relocation.
