Activity Highlight#4 Geriatric Care Course for Sudanese people

As part of our commitment to empowering vulnerable groups with meaningful skills and dignified livelihood opportunities, The Virtuous Woman has launched a specialized training program preparing sudanese participants to serve in elderly care.
The program began with the selection and initial engagement of 50 women who are being prepared to enroll in a comprehensive caregiving and first aid training. This initiative aims to equip them with the skills needed to support elderly individuals—monitoring conditions such as blood pressure, diabetes, and common illnesses—while providing compassionate and holistic care.

Beyond technical training, the program carries a deeper mission: to transform participants from performing basic cleaning roles into caregivers who bring comfort, dignity, and human connection to those they serve. They are being equipped not only to assist physically, but also to provide emotional support and companionship, becoming a light in the lives of the elderly.

Due to the financial vulnerability of the participants, this program is currently 100% funded through donations, as they are unable to cover the cost of training.

The program will initially enroll 50 participants in its first cohort, who will receive:

* Comprehensive Medical Training: Including first aid and practical caregiving skills such as safe patient movement, hygiene care, and handling complex elderly care situations.

* Psychosocial Support Program: Preparing participants emotionally and psychologically to serve with resilience and empathy.

* Weekly Full-Day Training Sessions: Conducted once a week over a period of three months.

* Full Support Package: Including meals during training days, necessary supplies, training venue, and access to highly qualified trainers in both medical and psychological fields.

This initiative reflects our vision to create sustainable impact—equipping women with practical skills, restoring dignity in their work, and enabling them to provide holistic care that meets both the physical and emotional needs of the elderly.

2025 Second Half Impact Report

Across regions marked by conflict, displacement, and severe economic strain, Iraq, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, and Kenya, Roads of Success stands with vulnerable families, offering dignity, hope, and vital support when they need it most.

Through humanitarian aid, education, women’s empowerment, community care, and our work in media, mission, outreach, shipments, music, and advocacy, we lift those facing overwhelming hardship. Every backpack given, every food basket delivered, every family sheltered, every woman starting a small business, every child in an orphanage seeking safety, and every message of hope shared reflects the heart of our mission.

Together, we continue to show that hope remains stronger than hardship in even the most fragile places.

Rasha: The Anchor of the Home

In a quiet village in the Nile Delta, Rasha carries the weight of her family’s needs, doing everything she can to provide stability for her four children despite an unpredictable income.
With her husband’s seasonal farm work unable to guarantee enough, she began raising ducks in her backyard, an idea perfectly suited to her village and always in demand at local markets.
This small project brings more than income; it means school uniforms, food on the table, and security for a son preparing for life after military service.
Through her determination and willingness to repay part of the support she received, Rasha is building a dignified, sustainable future for her family.

Fayza: The Sweetness of Resilience

In a vulnerable village in Upper Egypt, Fayza, a beloved local baker, saw her livelihood threatened when an injury left her unable to knead dough by hand.

She received a professional industrial mixer that allowed her to continue baking without physical strain.
With this support, her small business came back to life, and she regained her place as the baker her community depends on.
Fayza’s quiet strength now fills her village with hope and the sweet scent of fresh bread once again.

Supporting Lifesaving Care in a Village in Minya

In upper Egypt, our partner clinic provided essential medical care to more than 14,000 people living through severe economic hardship and limited access to healthcare. Families who could not afford doctor visits or medication received treatment in dentistry, OB-GYN, orthopedics, dermatology, cardiology, pediatrics, and other critical specialties. To ensure every patient, including the elderly and those with disabilities, could reach the care they needed, we also supported the installation of an elevator and provided wheelchairs within the four-story facility. This effort brought dignity, relief, and renewed hope to thousands who are too often left without care.

Empowering Girls Rescued from Early Marriage and Harmful Traditions

Across vulnerable communities in Kenya, more than 200 girls rescued from child marriage and FGM are now safe and surrounded by care.
Through education and mentorship, they are rebuilding confidence and discovering a future they once believed was lost.
Each girl’s transformation is a powerful reminder that protection and hope can rewrite an entire life.

Mariam: Stitches of Hope

In the quiet villages of Upper Egypt, Mariam spent years walking long distances to a workshop, working through exhaustion just to feed her children.
Receiving a sewing machine allowed her to bring her work home, protecting her health and giving her time with her family.
This simple tool became her first real chance to break free from the cycle of poverty.
Each stitch she makes now carries hope, strength, and the promise of a better future for her children.

Empowering Vulnerable Women Through Small Businesses

In underdeveloped areas of Egypt, many women, often mothers struggle to support their families as opportunities for work are scarce. Through small, home-based businesses, they are finding a way to earn income, help their husbands, and provide for their children. What began as modest efforts have become powerful sources of hope, restoring dignity, stability, and the chance for these women to shape a better future for their families.

Afaf: The Green Shepherdess

In a poor village in the Nile Delta, 43-year-old Afaf has spent her entire life working for others, harvesting crops and tending animals with tireless dedication, yet rarely receiving the benefit of her own labor.
A small sheep-and-goat breeding project gives her the first real chance to build something of her own, using the skills she has mastered over a lifetime.
With a shared family space and a simple, sustainable breeding cycle, Afaf can finally create income that belongs to her and offers security for her future.
For Afaf, this project is more than work, it is the freedom to stand on her own feet and shape the life she has long dreamed of.

Christmas Joy for Children in Cairo

In Cairo, 130 children, both Sudanese refugees and Egyptian children impacted by deep economic hardship experienced a day of joy and warmth during our Christmas celebration. Coming from lives marked by loss, displacement, or severe poverty, these children were given a rare moment to simply be kids again. The celebration was filled with music, dancing, games, and festive treats, and each child received a new outfit and a warm meal. For many, it became a treasured memory of light and belonging a reminder that even in difficult seasons, hope can still shine brightly.
