Media and Education: A New Documentary and Using AI

ROS’s work is now being featured in a powerful documentary called “26 Seconds-ISIS Sex Slaves” which is reaching millions of viewers. This documentary delivers a compelling and emotional journey, raises awareness, and challenges each of us to stand up for innocent women and children ALL around the world. This is a timely reminder of the value of vigilance in the fight for freedom.

We have also developed a new animated series dedicated to ending the stigma for survivors of sexual violence in conflict, which was featured on UNTV and aims to empower women and girls. The AI short films have also addressed parenting and value-building for children. The power of education has been a guiding principle of ROS’s work, but not everyone learns the same way. A series like this harnesses the power of illustrative animation to reach people through social media, captures people’s attention among all the other content that is present.

Becoming A Trusted Voice at United Nations Side Events: The Financial Inclusion to Empower Women in Humanitarian Contexts, Including Survivors of Sexual Violence in Conflict

This United Nations event co-hosted by Hungary, and moderated by Jacqueline Isaac, was able to draw on the experiences of girls who have survived sexual violence in conflict from Iraq, Syria, Congo, and other conflict-stricken countries.  Jacqueline shared the heartbreaking story of Rita, a young Christian woman who was “exchanged” for sexual abuse four times under f ISIS’s attempt to erase her faith and community.

In response, the Permanent Representatives of Iraq and Hungary spoke out boldly against the stigma surrounding survivors and called for real action: economic support, social reintegration, and justice that honors their dignity and pain.

ROS knows nothing is more powerful than a survivor’s voice.

We participate in these events not to be the conduit for survivors’ experiences, but to give them a platform and shine a spotlight on them to be heard. Survivors’ autonomy is the driving principle behind all our work..

Empowering Egyptian Women: ROS’s Educational Initiatives Post ‘Let Us Dream’ Festival

At the “Let Us Dream” Festival in Egypt, thousands of women came together to take a brave stand against forced marriage, sexual violence, and lack of education, breaking through the limits society placed on them.

Inspired by their strength, ROS launched a series of workshops focused on education, job skills, and empowerment. We also secured a 1,000-square-meter space fully dedicated to helping women and their families gain the tools, knowledge, and support they need to build a better future.

This collaboration highlights the power of community support in times of crisis.

A Call to Action: Supporting Children in Kenya

Supporting children in Kenya is at the heart of our mission. We are incredibly grateful for your response to our call for help. Many children in Kenya have been struggling to find food and have gone without meals for an extended period. Thanks to your generous support, we were able to provide nourishing meals to these children for an entire week.

The Impact of Your Support

Our efforts have made a significant difference. Providing meals not only helped them physically but also emotionally, knowing they are cared for. This support is crucial in ensuring that children can focus on their education and development.

Ensuring Access to Education

Supporting children in Kenya also means ensuring they have access to education. As these children return to school, it’s crucial that they receive two meals a day to support their learning and overall well-being. Education is a powerful tool that can break the cycle of poverty and empower future generations.

The Cost of Support

The cost to provide this vital support is $30 per month per child. By sponsoring a child, you are not just providing meals; you are investing in their education and future. This investment has the potential to create a lasting impact on the child’s life and the community as a whole

The Long-Term Benefits

Supporting children in Kenya in this way gives them the opportunity to grow into strong, educated individuals who can contribute to their communities. Education is the key to unlocking potential and creating a brighter future for these children.

Conclusion

Your continued support in this effort is key to making a lasting impact. Together, we can bring the joy of education and nourishment to children in need, creating brighter futures for them and for Kenya as a whole.
