Backpacks of Hope in Lebanon: Supporting Syrian Refugee Children

Many Syrian refugee families arrived in Lebanon with nothing, only to face an economic crisis so severe that even basic schooling became out of reach. Very few children are able to attend regularly, as families struggle just to survive.

This year, we helped open the door to learning again.

Our team distributed 100 school backpacks to Syrian refugee children—each filled with essential supplies that gave them the chance to return to school with dignity and confidence. For these students, a backpack is more than a bag; it is stability, hope, and a reminder that their future still matters.

For years, we have supported a Syrian refugee school in Lebanon, standing with families rebuilding their lives from nothing and helping ensure their children are not denied an education despite the hardship around them.

This effort brought renewed possibility to classrooms, one backpack, one student, one future at a time.

From Fear to Safety: Helping a Syrian Family Rebuild Their Lives

After the regime change in Syria, a mother, father, and five children fled after receiving threats that their home would be destroyed and their daughters harmed. They arrived in Lebanon with nothing, staying briefly in a church before facing homelessness and deep uncertainty.

Our team stepped in, securing a safe home, providing food, and enrolling all five children in school. The parents have started developing small skills, slowly rebuilding the stability they lost.

What began in fear is now becoming a journey toward healing—a family finding safety, dignity, and the hope of a new beginning.

Ushindi — From Pain to Possibility

At three years old, Ushindi survived devastating burns that left her in constant pain and fear.
After completing three major reconstructive surgeries, she healed, returned to school, and rediscovered the joy of simply being a child.
Her journey shows how healing can restore not only the body, but dignity, courage, and hope

From Ashes to Beauty

In Egypt, thousands of Sudanese refugee women are trying to rebuild their lives after fleeing the war in Sudan. Many arrive as single mothers, starting from nothing in a country already facing deep economic hardship. At Roads of Success, we stand with them, restoring dignity, building skills, and helping them rise again with strength and hope.

A Journey of Transformation: The Beauty Training Course

Our “From Ashes to Beauty” program trained 17 Sudanese refugee womenin professional makeup and beauty skills, opening a door not just to work, but to restored confidence and identity. The same hands that once struggled to survive are now creating beauty and earning income with dignity. Many are already working with salons or offering freelance services, supporting their families with pride.

As one woman shared, “For the first time since I left Sudan, I feel I have something of my own.”

These women are rebuilding their lives through empowerment, a true journey from ashes to beauty.

Christmas Hope in Iraq: A Moment of Joy in Difficult Times

This Christmas, our team reached 135 children at Praise Chapel Christian Fellowship, bringing a moment of joy that many of them had only dreamed about. Each child received a small toy and a sweet treat, simple gifts that felt extraordinary to those who have lived through years of hardship.

For children who are used to worry, displacement, and sadness, the celebration felt almost unreal. The happiness they often see others enjoy, happiness they believed was far from their reach, suddenly felt close, as if it had come down from heaven just for them. The room filled with bright smiles, laughter, and the kind of excitement that lifts the weight they quietly carry.

In the midst of difficult circumstances, this Christmas gathering became a moment of emotional relief, helping these young hearts feel safe, valued, and hopeful again.

Caring for the Elderly with Dignity and Compassion in Iraq

At the Blessed Home for the Elderly, many residents carry the weight of years shaped by hardship, loss, and quiet loneliness. Your generosity brought comfort into their lives at a time when support is scarce.

Through your help, we provided adult diapers along with other essential medical supplies that the home urgently needed. These items eased their daily struggles, supported their health, and restored dignity to their care. For these elders, this support was far more than a practical gift, it was a reminder that they are seen, valued, and not forgotten.

Your compassion brought warmth and honor to some of the most vulnerable members of the community.
Together, we continue to bring dignity, comfort, and hope to those who need it most.
